They will have you saying (with a full mouth), peanut butter, who?
Made from ground, hulled white sesame seeds to form a smooth paste and create a distinct nutty, savory flavor profile. Believe me when I say there is more to tahini than hummus.
Using easy to find and pronounce ingredients, these nutty cookies will be your new not so guilty pleasure.

Tahini Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup coconut sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp melted coconut oil or olive oil
- ¼ cup tahini
- 2-3 tbsp unsweetened non-dairy milk I used almond
- ¼ cup vegan chocolate chips I used Enjoy Life brand
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375° and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl add the flour, coconut sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir until combined.
- To the same bowl add the oil, tahini, and almond milk.
- Using your hands, mix until a thick dough forms. If the mixture is dry, add another splash of almond milk.
- Add the chocolate chips and fold them into the dough with your hands.
- Shape eight puck-like cookies with your hands and place them on the lined baking sheet, ensuring enough space in between for expansion.
- Place the tray in the oven and bake for 10-11 minutes until golden. Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes before eating.
