Ingredients
2cupsfrozen or fresh strawberries
2tbspchia seeds
2-3tbspmaple syrup
pinch ofsalt
Instructions
Heat a sauce-pan over medium heat.
Add all ingredients and stir to combine, cooking for 10 minutes or until the berries begin to soften.
Once berries soften, mash them with a fork or masher until large clumps are gone. Lower the heat and cook for another 3-5 minutes.
Remove from heat and let cool to thicken before serving.
Notes
Storage: this jam keeps well in the fridge for 1 week, or can be freezer for up to 3 months. Fruit: feel free to substitute for other berries such as blueberries, raspberries, or a mix of those. Cooling: it's important to let the jam cool to thicken for the best results.
