3- Ingredient Chia Seed Jam

Simple and sweet 3-Ingredient Chia Seed Jam. Made with strawberries, whole chia seeds, and sweetened with pure maple syrup. Enjoy on toast, oats, or a classic PB&J.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen or fresh strawberries
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2-3 tbsp maple syrup
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Heat a sauce-pan over medium heat.
  • Add all ingredients and stir to combine, cooking for 10 minutes or until the berries begin to soften.
  • Once berries soften, mash them with a fork or masher until large clumps are gone. Lower the heat and cook for another 3-5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let cool to thicken before serving.

Notes

Storage: this jam keeps well in the fridge for 1 week, or can be freezer for up to 3 months. 
Fruit: feel free to substitute for other berries such as blueberries, raspberries, or a mix of those. 
Cooling: it's important to let the jam cool to thicken for the best results.
